Growing up as a kid in the 80s, there were these awesome action figures, little plastic wrestlers that came in a plastic trash can in a variety of types and really weird designs. They were odd and fascinating, originating from much of Japanese mythology and folklore. So in between projects, when I want to sharpen my practice in both drawing skills, anatomy, and character design, I have my kids pick a couple out at a time and I try to make something of them. So here are my attempts to make sense of these weird little characters.
